Soul Sabbath Retreat

Jesus says, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.” Matthew 11:28-29 (The Message).

Come join us at ABC Saturday, February 22 at 9:00 am for a three-hour Soul Sabbath.

Spiritual Directors Suz Skinner and John French will lead us in a leisurely block of time to explore and experience the “unforced rhythms of grace.” Sabbath, as we will learn, is God’s gift to God’s people. John and Suz will lead us in an experience with scripture known as Lectio-Divina (spiritual reading), Visio-Divina (spiritual visual reflection) to experience God’s rest. Options such as an art experience, walking outside, silence and solitude will be offered. We will also have a group debrief of our experience.
