If you would like help navigating any of the resources below or would like to talk with someone about what a good next step for you could be, you are invited to reach out to one of our pastors. We are not mental health professionals, but would like to assist as we are able in getting you the care you need.
Remember, your PCP/doctor can provide an assessment of what you are experiencing and also make therapy referrals. You may also consider contacting your insurance provider who can provide a list of therapists in the area who accept your insurance plan.

If applicable, check out your employer's EAP (Employee Assistance Program) for free short-term counseling referral services. Some EAP programs also give you a limited number of free counseling visits per referral.

PsychologyToday website is a really good first step. There are a number of filter options and you can even select to filter by your insurance.
Therapy Matcher is a free referral service. You can tell them exactly what your needs are and they do the work of finding a therapist that is a good fit.
TherapyTribe is a search by location and specialization engine to find qualified mental health professionals in your area or online
Anxiety and Depression Association of America This tool can search locations by city, location (state or province), or country
Directory for Therapists an online directory for mental health professionals
New Life Christian Counseling is for people who are requesting Christian counselors, New Life has a referral service. Registration is $75 but it pays for your first counseling session, which can be rolled over into a session with another counselor if the first one doesn't work out.
BetterHelp will do a brief intake and match you with an online therapist, based on specialty and insurance

Gordon College Center for Student Counseling and Wellness has an excellent Mental Health Referral page that they update annually. They also vet all the professionals on the list. *This is not only for students
Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) also has a website with tips and additional resources on finding mental health support, such as a 24/7 crisis support hotline, as well as free public referral hotlines that can help connect you with services.

Demographic Specific Resources
MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness is currently compiling a mental health provider database (mostly psychiatrists and psychologists at this point) in MA and across the U.S. who specialize in working with Asian/Asian American individuals and families. You can email info@mghstudentwellness.org and ask for therapist referrals with various specifics (i.e. languages spoken, location, insurance, areas of expertise, etc).

Mustard Seed Generation dedicated to fostering conversations about mental health in the Korean American community. They also have an extensive counseling directory.
Center for Asian American Christianity Princeton Theological Seminary produced these resources specifically addressing perfectionism among Asian Americans
