Nursery + Preschool through Grade 5
We are committed to offering a safe and loving environment for our children to grow in their understanding of God. We desire to offer programs that help children become disciples who love Jesus, serve their community, and celebrate life. We also hope to equip, empower, and engage parents and guardians in discipleship of their kids!
*All leaders and volunteers who work with children are CORI-checked.

Kids Crew Information
-
Is this your first time with us? Welcome! If you’ve never visited Kids Crew before, please fill out this form! This will assist our volunteers in meeting your child’s needs while in our care and speed up the check-in process on Sunday morning.
-
Check-in
Safety is paramount. Each child must be checked-in before proceeding to the Kids Crew classrooms. For regular attendees, check-in is quick! The check-in station is inside the church at the entrance of the Fellowship Hall (big room to the left of the sanctuary). If this is your first time at ABC, someone will walk with you to show you your child's classroom or the nursery.
Communication
Our volunteers do not know all parents and children. When checking in, please make certain to tell our volunteers about special instructions or special requests you may have, including anything your child may be allergic to.
Changing Station
Our nursery has a changing station. Diaper bags and cups/bottles or other items are to be clearly marked.
Stickers
Parents will be given a sticker with a code on it at the check-In table, and your child will receive a matching tag. You need to show this to pick up your child. Kids Crew teachers are instructed not to release a child to anyone unknown to them, unless they have the card. For the safety of the little ones, we will not release children to older siblings.
-
Typically, there are three opportunities for connection in Kids Crew. Our nursery is offered for the entire service, while our pre-school and elementary classes are dismissed just before the sermon.
Our nursery is located down the hall from the sanctuary. All other Kids Crew classrooms can be found downstairs, through the sanctuary doors to the right of the stage.
Nursery (0-2 years old)
Children spend time learning about God through play, songs, and interaction with loving adults.
Preschool & Kindergarten
Children engage with God and each other through play, storytime, songs, and crafts during the sermon portion of the service.
1st-5th Grade
Children participate in a lesson and activity time during the sermon portion of the service.
-
Present sticker to the volunteer
The volunteer will get your child and their belongings and bring them to you.
Nursery parents may enter the room
Crawlers can sometimes make quick escapes so make sure to close the door after you enter/leave the room. To limit crowding, we request only one parent enter the nursery to drop off or pick up the child.
Communication
Volunteers will inform you of any noteworthy events (injuries, scrapes, etc.) and behaviors (being extra helpful or loving; unacceptable behavior like hitting, biting, kicking, etc.)
-
If you are leaving a bottle or food for a child in Nursery, please let the nursery volunteers know if a bottle or snack is to be given to your baby when you're dropping your child off. If your child has food allergies, please let the staff member on duty know. Please do not bring any snacks that contain nuts, as ABC is a nut-free church.
-
While it is impossible to totally prevent colds or other “childhood ailments,” we offer the following guidelines to parents and volunteers in order to limit exposure to illness. Please do not bring your child to Kids Crew if they have:
A fever
Vomited within the last 24 hours
A runny nose with colored material or conjunctivitis
Cough not related to allergies (especially croup)
Diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Been exposed to a contagious disease like chicken pox or COVID-19
