Justice & Compassion Ministries
We are a yes, and church - we care about both personal salvation and social justice.
Below are some of our ministries and partner organizations. We serve with them throughout the year in our community so that we can be part of the world made new.
Our Ministries & Partners
Food Insecurity
-
On the second Wednesday of every month, we prepare dinner for those facing homelessness and food insecurity in Beverly. Every month, we put up a sign-up form with the menu and items you can sign up to bring or cook. The food is served at Living Faith (UMC) Church next door to ABC, and about 30-40 people are able to enjoy a hot meal together.
Healthcare
-
The mission of Anchor Bay Health is to provide free medical services to those across the North Shore who are uninsured, underinsured, or who lack access to health care.
Free clinics are run throughout the year will help close the gap on those lacking adequate health care in our community. We serve the homeless, the immigrant population, those below the poverty line and other vulnerable populations. The goal is to make a positive impact on the health of our neighbors throughout the North Shore, including members of the ABC community. Medical professionals and non-medical professionals are welcome to get involved.

Looking for ways to donate supplies or use your year end FSA funds? At each clinic we give out free hygiene products. You can donate by purchasing them through the FSA website and dropping them off at ABC.

The mission of Open Door Immigration Services is to love and serve our immigrant neighbors by providing affordable immigration legal services and, together, opening the door to full community engagement.
With the support of World Relief, ODIS is recognized and accredited by the Department of Justice to offer immigration legal services to our immigrant neighbors across the North Shore and Cambridge.

Foster & Adoption
-
Fostering Hope provides care for children and families impacted by foster care. Our vision is the dream of a day when ZERO children in foster care are waiting for a safe and supported family to care for them. In the meantime, we provide prayer and tangible support for foster families - some of us are foster or pre-adoptive families ourselves.
Community Development (Salem & Marblehead)
-
SPUR makes volunteering at any age easy by providing accessible opportunities that meet the tangible needs of the community. They offer a variety of thoughtful and flexible engagement opportunities which result in rewarding volunteer experiences and measurable community impact.
Ways to get involved include backpack drives for students, food rescue and delivery, a community garden to raise food for a local food pantry, and more.
SPUR was started by a member of our church after she heard an inspiring sermon!
